Dr. Eberbach
Your Plastic Surgeon
We understand that surgery is an
important personal decision and we hope that knowing more about
Dr. Eberbach will make you feel confident that your choice in
surgeons was the right one.
Dr. Mark
Eberbach is highly skilled, meticulous, and caring. He is also
one of the most experienced surgeons in Florida. He is Board
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), is an
active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons
(ASPS), and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
These memberships are the touchstone for evaluating plastic
surgery competency and ethics. He is a former assistant
clinical professor of plastic surgery at the University of South
Florida and one of the few plastic surgeons deemed qualified by
the Florida Board of Medicine to monitor nurse anesthetists (CRNAs).
Dr. Eberbach has also taught continuing medical education
courses to doctors, nurses, and other health providers
throughout the State of Florida. The American Association
of Accredited Ambulatory Surgical Facilities certified the
Eberbach Surgery Center with a perfect score of 100% at their
most recent inspection (October 2007).
Dr. Eberbach
has personally performed thousands of cosmetic operations and
cared for over 17,000 patients. The average plastic surgeon
performs about 50 to 100 cosmetic operations annually. Dr.
Eberbach performs approximately 400 cosmetic surgeries each
year. His most commonly performed operative procedures are
breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, body
contouring (abdominoplasty, liposuction, body lift), face
rejuvenation (facelift, blepharoplasty, browlift, chemical peel,
fat grafting), and rhinoplasty. He is an expert in using
non-invasive procedures and has invented several endoscopic
procedures, which means minimal scarring, less pain, and usually
greater safety for the patient. In addition, he has special
experience with body contouring after massive weight loss from
bariatric surgery (gastric bypass, and Lap-Band™ surgery). In
fact, he was one of the first to perform Lower Body Lift
procedures in Florida.
Dr. Eberbach
established his Florida surgical practice 19 years ago and is
licensed in the states of Florida and Michigan. In 1981, he
received his medical degree - with distinction - from the
University of Michigan Medical School, where he was elected to
membership in the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.
After completing his general surgery residency at the University
of Michigan, Dr. Eberbach developed his expertise in plastic
surgery at the University of Miami School of Medicine and
Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was
chief resident in plastic surgery and a fellow in craniofacial
surgery in 1989.
In addition
to his practice, Dr. Eberbach has served the medical community
in several capacities over the past 15 years. He was Chief of
Surgery and chairperson of the Surgical Peer-review, Quality
Improvement, and Bylaws committees. He served as the American
Cancer Society Liaison at Regional Medical Center at Bayonet
Point and was an active member of the Medical Executive
Committee at Regional Medical Center and at Morton Plant
Northbay Hospitals. As a Pasco County Medical Society delegate
to the Florida Medical Association, he advocated for physicians
and their patients to promote the public health, ensure the
highest standards of medical practice, and to enhance the
quality and availability of health care in the Sunshine State.
Dr. Eberbach
is committed to maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the latest
medical innovations in order to ensure that you receive the best
care and participates in several national conferences each year
to ensure that his patients benefit from the most up to date
medical expertise possible. Over the course of his practice,
Dr. Eberbach has also contributed to the advancement of the
plastic surgery profession--he has published and presented
several peer reviewed scientific papers and holds six United
States patents and international patents for medical devices he
has developed. He was also the first surgeon in the area to
perform several innovative surgeries including trunk and body
lifts, facial fat grafting, lymphoscintigraphy, and others. He
directs his philanthropic efforts towards the National Multiple
Sclerosis Society, The American Cancer Society, American
Diabetes Association, The Good Samaritan Health Clinic, and the
Plastic Surgery Education Foundation.
While dedicated to ensuring you
are in some of the best surgical hands in the country. Dr.
Eberbach considers his family his proudest achievement. He is
soon to celebrate his 30th wedding Anniversary with
his wife Renee and has four children. He is an avid bicycle
rider and loves gardening.
